Notice of Background Screening: S.A.F.E. House is committed to protecting all of our employees, volunteers, clients and their children. Volunteers at S.A.F.E. House are required to participate in a background check, which includes submitting fingerprints and obtaining state and federal criminal history report information. Volunteers who may have contact with children in our programs will also be screened for a history of child abuse and neglect through the Department of Child and Family Services. Background check findings will be reviewed in a fair, impartial, and confidential manner. Further information regarding the background screening process will be provided following submission of your application.
