“The Giving Store” in Henderson, NV is soliciting applicants for a part-time position as Store Manager (approximately 25 – 35 hours/week).
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
*Managing a team of 3-6 associates and volunteers
*Recruiting, hiring, training staff members and volunteers
*Addressing performance issues
*Creating a positive, disciplined, and productive environment
*Managing and merchandising Inventory
*Maintaining physical condition of the store
*Preparing and presenting all necessary reports
The successful candidate may have any or all of the following attributes, education, and experience.
1) Personal attributes:
-honest and sensitive to any appearance of impropriety
-dependable and flexible
-able to work effectively with a diverse population
-able to learn quickly
-B.B.A. or equivalent in business, merchandising, or marketing
-Retail (thrift store experience would be highly desirable)
-Supervisory or managerial
-Budget oversight (balance receipts, use a cash register)
A thorough background check, including drug testing, will be required.
The targeted salary for this position is approximately $18/hour (dependent on the successful candidate’s level of education and experience).
